Boasting a World Rally Championship lineage, the Subaru Impreza
WRX makes no excuses for itself as a road-going rally car. Its
combination of a turbocharged boxer engine along with a high-performance
AWD system makes for a car that is responsive and maneuverable
yet very stable under any road condition. In fact, few things
can compare to the exhilarating feeling of driving a WRX
except
the feeling of driving a WRX prepared by XS Engineering, of course.
We knew of its many virtues from its exploits overseas and it
goes without saying that we were excited to find that the WRX
was slated to come to the United States for 2002. Finally, an
affordable, turbocharged, AWD car will be available to take over
the segment that the Mitsubishi Eclipse once held. While eagerly
anticipating its debut, we began working at a feverish pace to
develop parts to push its performance envelope. By October of
2001, the first prototype intake, exhaust, intercooler and turbocharger
systems rolled out on several WRX's in time to be showcased during
the 2001 SEMA show. The consumer response to that was more than
overwhelming and we, as a result, have moved those parts into
full production. It is our intent to provide our customers with
a complete 'tuning menu' for the WRX that will cover engine, suspension,
engine management, and aerodynamic enhancements. The WRX has quickly
become one of our favorite cars and as such, its limits will continue
to be pushed in order for us to supply you with the best parts
available.
All of our parts are developed on one of our in-house chassis
dynamometers or engine dynamometer. This way we know exactly how
our parts react on a car. You can view dyno sheets on most of
our products to see the documented gains in power and torque.
To view a stock WRX dynosheet, click here (dynosheet1). We are
dedicated to making useable horsepower and this is why ALL of
our parts make power. We do not do our research and development
or manufacturing in a garage and then sell parts on the internet.
XS Engineering is here to service you today and will be here tomorrow
as well.
